What Can Airbrush Makeup Do?

Every makeup application has its pros and cons. Whether you use brushes, sponges or your fingers; whether you use creams, gels or powders; whether you use a little or a lot – every makeup method has it’s benefits and drawbacks. So what about airbrush makeup?

Only Airbrush Makeup Can…

Smooth Airbrush Finish
…Be blended perfectly.  Applying makeup with an airbrush allows you maximum control and coverage. Your stylus and compressor work together to produce microparticles that blend together to form you perfect color. If you use brushes or sponges, you are going to get an uneven amount of makeup that does blend out as smooth as with an airbrush. After all, you wouldn’t paint a Mercedes with a brush, would you?

…Give you a natural looking blush. With regular foundations, you have to apply the blush on top of your base layers. This means it can be difficult to control the amount of blush you use. If you want a more a natural flush to your cheeks, apply your airbrush blush UNDER your foundation. This is only possible with airbrush makeup. By applying your airbrush brush and then your foundation, the blush looks like it’s a natural part of your face and not added after the fact.

…Give you a natural looking glow that hydrates. Again, with regular foundations, makeup has to be applied in a certain order. Airbrush makeup gives you more options. Start with a primer and your color-matched foundation, then apply your moisturizer OVER the foundation. This will give you a soft, dewy finish without smudging your makeup. This is especially helpful for those with dry or sensitive skin.

A stylus is cleaner than a brush.
Airbrush Makeup and Clearer Skin
You have been told since you were a teen to not touch your face or you might cause pimples. This is still true. The more we touch our faces, the more we transfer dirt and oils to our pores. This causes acne and other skin problems. Even if you clean your makeup brushes and applicators every day, you are still working with tools that are going to collect the very things we want to keep away from our skin.

That’s part of what makes airbrush makeup so special. By using the stylus and not a brush, you are only applying makeup to your face, not bacteria. This prevents acne, but it can also prevent fine lines from forming as you rub and pull on your skin as you apply your makeup. Stay looking younger, longer.

Any Drawbacks?
Of course there are drawbacks to nearly anything. An at-home airbrush makeup kit can start off costing more than traditional makeup. And it takes some getting used to be able to pull off a flawless finish in a small amount of time. It’s also not as portable as other makeup.
