Airbrush makeup at home is usually for every day use and a
few special occasions. Professionals use airbrush makeup in tons of places. But
we don’t have to limit our use to just at home…
Prom, Weddings and Special Occasions
Beautiful Bride |
Brides everywhere want to look their best on their special
day. And while you can hire someone to come do your airbrushed makeup, why pay
all that when you can use your at-home airbrush makeup? If you get a system of
your own, not only will you not have to hire a professional and still get that
professional look, but you will still have the system afterwards to do your
day-to-day makeup.
Flawless Bride |
Before the wedding, practice with the system and make sure
you know how to use it. Practice with different foundations and different
methodologies – does it look better with the Glow? With the blush under or over
the foundation? Do you want a little extra shimmer or the natural look? Test it
out and learn what works for you.
But weddings aren’t the only special occasions where
airbrush makeup can be used to create flawless, glamorous looks and still be
used everyday. Imagine prom season, job interviews, giving speeches and
quinceaneras – all special occasions where you want to put your best foot forward.
Beauty Pageants
How do those ladies always manage to look like professional
makeup artists did their makeup even when you know they did it themselves?
Airbrush makeup! You don’t have to be a professional beauty queen to look like
one.
You can get that beauty pageant glow with a combination of
our Silk or Satin foundations, Boost-It and Glow. For extra sparkle, add a
bit of bronzer or shimmer.
Professional Headshots
At some point in your life, you will likely need to do a
professional headshot. Graphic design firms charge a fortune to touch up
headshots for business cards, flyers and brochures. Keep your costs down by
having that airbrushed look without the benefit of a computer.
Camera-Ready Makeup |
For cameras, you want to go a little heavier with your
makeup than usual. So make sure you are getting full coverage when you apply
your airbrush foundation. Stay away from shimmers and metallics, since those
don’t photograph as well (as our makeup artist likes to say, they put a runway
of lights in the wrong places). If you usually do a more natural look, stick
with that, just use a little heavier hand. You want your features to stand out,
not blur together.
Video/TV
We live in an HD world. More and more people are realizing
that video cameras can accentuate your every pore, wrinkle and sag. Before you
show your face on camera, apply your makeup with an at-home airbrush system.
Did you know that Luminess Air has been used in movies and TV shows all over the world?
Same rules apply for makeup in video as it does in pictures.
Amp up your normal look a bit more so your features don’t blend together on
screen. It’s hard to over do it for TV makeup, so don’t be afraid.
Professional Dancing/Sports
Gorgeous Dancer |
We’ve all seen those shows with the professional dancers and
they always look amazing. Even under hot lights and amazing dance moves, they
will look flawless and professional. What’s the secret? You guessed it,
airbrush makeup. But you don’t have to have a sponsor paying for everything to
get that kind of look. Amateur dancers, gymnasts and other competitors can
benefit from the staying power of airbrush makeup.
Halloween
Makeup and Halloween go together like peanut butter and
jelly. But you don’t have stop at just looking gorgeous - you can create some amazing special effects
with airbrush makeup. Here are some great examples:
Fashion Shows/Shoots
Models get airbrushed in their photos, but they also use
airbrush makeup to start off as gorgeous as they can. You can see amazing
airbrush makeup at many fashion shows and photo shoots. In part because it can
stand up to the heat of the lights as well as last all day, this is the makeup
the professionals use. And you can, too, at the next Mother/Daughter Fashion
Show fundraiser!
Total Professional |
Look Professional and Cover Those Tattoos
We’ve talked about this before, but sometimes those tattoos
you love so much don’t go over so well in a professional environment. This
morning, I saw a young man who had to wear a long sleeve shirt button to the
neck and gloves because he worked in an environment where the tattoo on his
hands and arms would be acceptable to many of his customers. Keep in mind, it’s
August and it’s hot. Don’t be that guy – use your at-home airbrush system to
cover up those tattoos without having to wear extra layers of clothing.
So think of your airbrush makeup system as a one-time
expense that pays itself off quickly. You will find so many uses for your
at-home airbrush makeup that you will wonder how you ever lived without it!
